Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4)
10mg
Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, pal-KTTKS) is a lipidated matrikine consisting of the pentapeptide Lys-Thr-Thr-Lys-Ser (KTTKS) — a subfragment of the type I procollagen C-terminal propeptide — conjugated to palmitic acid to improve lipophilicity and membrane permeability. KTTKS is a feedback fragment released during collagen processing that signals extracellular-matrix production in fibroblast models. Supplied strictly for in-vitro research and laboratory use only. Not for human or animal use.

Mechanism of Action
The KTTKS sequence (procollagen residues 212-216) is the minimal fragment that stimulates production of type I collagen, type III collagen, and fibronectin in mesenchymal cells, acting as a matrikine in the feedback regulation of extracellular-matrix synthesis. Palmitoylation increases the peptide's lipophilicity for cell-membrane association without altering the KTTKS signaling motif. Research on this compound is largely dermatological/cosmetic-science in origin.
