Identity & nomenclature
Cetrorelix is a synthetic linear decapeptide with defined D/L configuration and nonstandard residues, an acetylated N terminus and an amidated C terminus. This record describes the parent without counterion.
Cetrorelixum is the issued Latin name. Acetate-qualified names describe separately specified material and are excluded from the parent aliases and identifiers. No development code is admitted from the source dossier.

Ten residues numbered from the first D residue. D-Nal(2) is D-3-(naphthalen-2-yl)alanine; D-Phe(4-Cl) is D-4-chlorophenylalanine; D-Pal(3) is D-3-(pyridin-3-yl)alanine. D-Cit is D-citrulline, or N5-carbamoyl-D-ornithine. Positions 1, 2, 3, 6 and 10 are D; positions 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 are L. Every nonstandard token denotes one residue. No one-letter string is supplied.

Structural characteristics
Müller et al. reported MS and NMR structural characterization; Aluri et al. reported synthesis and differentiation of epimeric impurities in acetate material. Their accessible abstracts are partial structural evidence and do not establish an independent experimental configuration measurement at every residue. The stored chain is linear, with no inter-residue ring closure.

Terminal features: N-terminal acetylation, C-terminal amide.

Analytical considerations
The formula and 1431.061 Da average mass are calculated for the neutral parent using CIAAW 2024 abridged atomic weights. PubChem displays 1431.0; the 0.061 Da numerical discrepancy is retained and that value is not substituted for the defined calculation. Acetate components and impurity modifications are excluded.

Verified bibliography
Cited studies by type
The 2 papers this record cites, counted by the kind of work each reports. A count is the size of this record's selection, not of the research that exists, and says nothing about results, safety, effectiveness or approval.
A paper can report more than one kind of work. Each count opens those papers in the bibliography. Compare every record on the Evidence Map.

Methodology & citation verification
Reference identity is checked against official PubMed metadata. Local deterministic receipts bind each normalized title and canonical metadata record to its verification date. Scientific values remain absent when an authoritative source has not been verified.
