Lyophilized Peptide

Sermorelin 10mg

Sermorelin (GRF(1-29)NH₂) is a synthetic 29-residue peptide corresponding to the N-terminal 1-29 fragment of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), carried as a C-terminal amide. This listing contains 10mg of lyophilized material. Supplied strictly for in-vitro research and laboratory use only. Not for human or animal use.

Mechanism of Action

Sermorelin acts at the GHRH receptor on anterior pituitary somatotrophs. Heiman et al. (1985) stimulated primary rat anterior pituitary cell cultures with synthetic, C-terminally amidated human GRF(1-29) and reported GH release at very low concentrations, with no stimulation of LH, FSH or prolactin; they used the same system to compare analogs modified at positions 1, 2, 3 and 7.
