The full 44-residue human growth hormone-releasing factor sequence, carried with a hexenoyl cap on Tyr1 and a C-terminal amide on Leu44. Sermorelin, also in this library, is the first 29 residues of this same sequence, without the hexenoyl cap and carried as a C-terminal amide at Arg29. The recorded formula and mass are the values this sequence derives with both caps applied; without the hexenoyl the derivation falls 96.13 Da short, which is why the cap is declared rather than described only in prose.
03
Structural characteristics
Tesamorelin is the full 44-residue human GRF sequence carrying two modifications, both now recorded. The FDA label describes the first as "a hexenoyl moiety, a C6 chain with a double bond at position 3, attached to the tyrosine residue at the N-terminal part"; the second is a C-terminal amide on Leu44. The single sulfur atom is the methionine at position 27, the only sulfur-containing residue in the sequence and the same residue that sermorelin carries, since sermorelin is this sequence truncated at 29. Neither cap contributes sulfur, so a second sulfur signal in a sample is a finding rather than noise.
Terminal features: N-terminal trans-3-hexenoyl at Tyr1, C-terminal amide at Leu44.

Analytical considerations
Population pharmacokinetic analysis reports plasma clearance of approximately 1,060 L/h and a volume of distribution of approximately 200 L, characterized by a one-compartment model with first- and zero-order absorption and first-order elimination.

The 4 papers this record cites, counted by the kind of work each reports. A count is the size of this record's selection, not of the research that exists, and says nothing about results, safety, effectiveness or approval.
A paper can report more than one kind of work. Each count opens those papers in the bibliography. Compare every record on the Evidence Map.
